Do YOU know the difference between different learning opportunities? If not, read the definitions below to familiarize yourself before applying!
Experiential Learning: Experiential Learning is an engaged learning process whereby students “learn by doing” and by reflecting on the experience.
Externship: An externship is usually unpaid or low paid experiences and tend to be shorter-term opportunities than internships, typically lasting anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.
Fellowship: A fellowship is a funded, short-term opportunity, that can last from a few weeks to a few years. They can be focused on professional, academic and/or personal development and are highly competitive.
Internship: An internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student's field of study or career interest.
Volunteer: Volunteering is an elective and free-choice act of an individual or group freely giving time and labor, often for community service.
