The Cultural Diversity and Community Involvement Committee (CDCIC) of UA-Pulaski Technical College exists to provide guidance to the college administration and board through the Valuing Stakeholders Council on matters regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, and community involvement
• Review the quality and quantity of UA-PTC’s cultural diversity offerings on campus and provide suggestions for greater student involvement and better communication with stakeholders.
• Strengthen UA-PTC’s cultural diversity programs through events relating to both the student population and the local community.
• Be responsible for raising awareness of these programs through a diverse range of media.
• Recommend specific opportunities for student service related to cultural diversity and community involvement.

Purpose of the Chancellor’s Task Force on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: The purpose of the Task Force is to draft a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan for UA-PTC. The Plan will then be aligned to the College’s Strategic Plan.
Meeting Schedule: At a minimum, bimonthly. Meetings have occurred from August 2020 and will be planned through December 1, 2020. Meetings will be held on late afternoons (3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.) with the goal of an hour long meeting.
Desired Outcome: Develop a DEI Plan for the College that has been vetted by all college colleagues and then finalized for implementation by January 1, 2021.
