The name-year system uses the last name of the author and the year of publication in parenthesis whenever a source is cited.
Do not number the items in the reference list.
Center the title, End References, at the top of the works cited page. Other titles can also be used.
Names and titles are to be alphabetized together.
For personal names, alphabetize based on the last name, including any particles ("de," "la," "von," etc) that precede the name. Disregard all punctuation and accent marks in the last name. For titles or organization names, ignore articles like "a" and "the" (and equivalents in other languages) when alphabetizing.
CSE style does not specify a preferred line spacing for the 'end reference' pages.
This example shows double spacing with no indentions. However, the final choice is left to your professor's discretion.
